Pahinungod held a tribute for the graduating student volunteers of Class 2014 on April 23 at the Continuing Education Center (CEC) Conference Hall. The event aimed recognize the valuable contribution of the graduating volunteers in the different programs of Pahinungod.
Headed by one of the technical staff and coordinators of Pahinungod, Mr. Jose Limbay Lahi O. Espaldon, a site visit was conducted on the 14th of April at Gubat, Sorsogon with coordinator of Gubat National Highschool Alumni Association (GNHS-AA), Mr. Cesar “Nonoy” Bartolome, and Pahinungod coordinator, Engr. Clyde Angelo Bisares. The group visited GNHS, checked in with the department heads of the said highschool, and made a courtesy call to the mayor of Gubat who expressed his support in the program.
The site visit is part of the preparations for the Immersion Service Program (ISP) and the Affirmative Action Program (AAP) that will be conducted in Gubat. The AAP at Gubat is scheduled on the 15th to the 27th of May, 2014.
A two-day leadership training seminar (LTS) was facilitated by volunteers of the Ugnayan ng Pahinungod for the 24 youth leaders of the Sto. Nino Youth Council (SNYC), Malabon on April 12 and 13 at the Jamboree Hall, Boyscout of the Philippines.
SNYC, a community-based organization in Malabon, requested for the LTS to help their organization choose possible candidates for their next executive committee. Participants also wanted to increase their knowledge on leadership and people management and to strengthen their will to serve as leaders of their community.
The team of volunteers led by Engr. Clyde Angelo Bisares with Michelle Manza, Joveth Vicenal, Alexandra Joyce Alvarez, and Katherine Gonzales specifically designed teambuilding activities on leadership, facilitation, conflict management, and project management to address SNYC’s objectives.
